"For fast acting relief, try slowing down"-Lily Tomlin
Updated: Feb 27, 2020
I think we can all agree that nothing usually happens overnight, well nothing good or permanent anyways. The 1 night stand someone had didn't get them married in the morning and I'm pretty sure Sunday's service didn't keep anyone worry or stress free all week either. We all know we are living in a super fast, high strung and ever changing world. However, the spirit within us is the same now as it always was; calm, quiet and peaceful. When we go within instead of trying to keep up with all of the "out" (world), there is so much peace. Trust me, nobody knows better how difficult this can be, especially if it is new to you. The patience it takes to get through the learning curve of being able tap into yourself and your spirit can honestly be a little defeating at first, but trust me you want to follow through! It's not easy to go from 100 mph to 30 mph without feeling a bit anxious, just like it wasn't easy to go from 30 mph to 100 mph without the same feeling. I admit, I have been frustrated a time or two when the car in front of me is actually going the speed limit. I get it! It's also hard to take things in stride when you're already wound up like a rubber band. Any additional discomfort that positive progress may add, can put the brakes on that progress real quick as we resort to our comfort zone of "normal" anxiousness.
This is why I want to share with you, your amazing God given abilities! Perhaps its been awhile since you accessed them, maybe you just haven't tapped into them in a long time or maybe you don't remember what they are, but they are all there, housed inside of you waiting to be accessed and used so you can be the very best version of your authentic self. Sometimes we have to search for them, we may have to go into a scary dark place to find them too (for me it felt like THE PIT OF HELL) but I promise you, they are there. My goal with this blog is to help you find yours by being a little light along the way, then you can take your light and pass it on some more.
